Missiles are indispensible in modern warfare, as it provides military with the ability to attack and defend from long distances. Due to its importance, militaries are constantly looking for new development for missile systems and technologies.
The performance of missile is heavily dependent on the design and its systems integration. Therefore, when it comes to designing a missile, engineers have to maintain a good balance between requirements and performance. Each missile is heavily driven by these six components, namely, size, drive, type, guidance systems, warhead, and its design. Engineers have to possess sufficient knowledge on these influencing components in order to acquire or develop missile systems.
Eugene L. Fleeman has 46 years of government, industry, and academia experience in missile design, missile system integration, and the development of missile technologies. Gene currently provides trainings on Missile Design – Integration to the DoD, missile community and the academia.
Gene’s extensive experiences were built from his involvement in missile with Georgia Tech, Boeing, Rockwell International, and U.S. Air Force Flight Dynamics Laboratory.
